Marsala, Pantone Color Institute's color of the year for 2015, is a gorgeous deep wine shade. It was a perfect way to bring some color to winter-pale faces. But can you wear it now that the weather is finally getting a little warmer? Of course! Now is the perfect time to warm up to Marsala for spring and summer!

Being a shade of red, Marsala is easiest to wear on lips, cheeks and nails. As summer approaches and we bring out our bronzers and faux tanners, Marsala's deep tones are a nice complement to darker skin. One of our favorite Marsala-toned blushes is Vincent Longo Water Canvas Blush in Tuscan Spell. Water Canvas Blushes go on dewy and slightly sheer, so the blush looks like it is coming from your skin rather than your makeup, and Tuscan Spell has just the right depth of color to add that "I was just outside" flush that makes a faux tan look real.

Blushies are crazy about Lipstick Queen because there are so many shades and textures to choose from, so true to form, both Berry and Deep Red fit the Marsala trend. Even better, both are available in Saint formula for those who like long-wearing sheer lipstick, and Sinner formula for those who prefer a moisturizing, but full-coverage matte. As a bonus, Berry is even available as a Lip Liner!

If you aren't sure you are ready for a Marsala-toned lipstick, maybe a gloss is a bit more your style. Ilia Lipgloss in Gypsy is perfect Marsala, and because it is sheer and shiny, it's an effortless way to wear the trend.

Finally, if you love multi-tasking, check out RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek in Illusive. Deep wine, but with a touch of brown that makes it super wearable, Illusive can be dabbed on to lips or cheeks for just a touch of Marsala, or layered on for a more intense look.

Nails are another easy way to wear the deep wine trend. Floss Gloss Pro Nail Lacquer makes two deep wine shades, Love, Suede & Tears, and Picnic. For summer, Blushes are picking Picnic--it has a slightly muted look that keeps it from looking like a fall shade, and it is beautiful on tips or toes.

The most adventurous way to wear Marsala is on the eyes. Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow in Magnificent Merlot is a cream-to-powder formula that can give you a light wash of shimmer for day, or a full-on metallic shine for evening. Best of all, it is perfect with a tan! But if you aren't sure about taking Marsala to your full lid, Stila still has an option for you. Their popular Smudgestick Waterproof Eyeliner is available in Deep Fuchsia, a matte Cranberry shade that is easy to wear with either neutral or smokey shadows, and gives you just a hint of Marsala.
